UltraVue UV70: clear, glare-free, sensibly priced.
Tru Vue UltraVue UV70 is anti-reflective laminated glass with 70% UV protection. A great fit for prints, posters and photos. Here is when to choose it.
What is UltraVue UV70?
UltraVue UV70 is a laminated, anti-reflective picture-framing glass from Tru Vue. The anti-reflective finish removes most of the glare you get with ordinary glass, so prints and photos look clear and bright. The “UV70” stands for its 70% UV filtering.

When UV70 is the right call
- Decorative prints, posters and open-edition art
- Photo walls and family photos that have copies or digital originals
- Rooms with lots of windows, where glare on clear glass is the main problem
- Large projects where every frame needs to look good on a sensible budget
When to step up
UV70 is not conservation glazing. For original paintings, works on paper, signed or limited-edition pieces and anything you cannot replace, choose Museum Glass, or Optium Museum Acrylic for large or high-traffic pieces. Both block up to 99% of UV light.

Frequently asked questions
Is UltraVue UV70 conservation glass?
No. It filters 70% of UV light, which is better than clear glass, but conservation framing calls for glazing that blocks up to 99%, such as Museum Glass or Optium Museum Acrylic.
Is UltraVue better than regular glass?
For most framed pieces, yes. It is anti-reflective, so glare is greatly reduced, it filters more UV, and the laminated construction holds together better if broken.
What is the difference between UltraVue and Museum Glass?
Both are anti-reflective. Museum Glass blocks up to 99% of UV light and is conservation grade; UltraVue UV70 blocks 70% and is intended for decorative pieces.
How do I clean UltraVue glass?
Spray a mild glass cleaner onto a soft microfibre cloth, not onto the glass, and wipe gently so the anti-reflective finish is not scrubbed.
